East Sussex baroque organ and harpsichord player
Conductor and organist Nick Houghton began his musical career at the age of seven, as a chorister at Coventry Cathedral.
Since studying organ with Nicolas Kynaston and Lady Susi Jeans whilst at Bristol and Cambridge, he has worked as a professional musician. Nicholas is currently Music Director of the Lewes Singers and the Lewes Chamber Choir, and is a Lecturer at the East Sussex Academy of Music.
Based in East Sussex, baroque specialist Nick plays regular engagements as a professional recitalist and continuo player, often with his own 18th-century style Goetze and Gwynn chamber organ or his Italian Bizzi harpsichord. Nick is available for playing engagements with or without his instruments.
